4th Birthday Party!

Well we finally did it.  We threw Quinn a real birthday party.  At this point he's attended parties for many of his friends and had begun asking when his birthday party was going to be, so I figured it was time.  We decided to have the party at Van Ommering Dairy Farm and it was a great setting for the kids!

Of course, since it is a working dairy farm, there was some practice cow milking.

But in addition to the more traditional farm setting they had many other awesome kid offerings, such as the cottonseed mountain...

...and a pretty cool racetrack that was fun for kids and adults alike.

Of course there were critters.  Goats and calves for petting...one mischievous one tried to eat my "happy birthday" banner...

We had a great turnout of kids and I think it's safe to say that they all had a great time.  There was something for everyone!

Of course we had to have some cake.

Farmer Dave gave us a hayride and tour of the dairy.  We got to see a newborn calf that had been born early this morning.  It was pretty cool to see the workings of the farm and to meet some of the cows.

And not a bad view, eh?  We will definitely be headed back to this spot in October for the pumpkin patch!
