Getting to spend some time with June was great. She has grown so much since January and has developed into quite the little charmer. All you have to do is glance her way and she'll break out into a HUGE toothless grin. She just melts your heart. Here she is charming Gogo.
Quinn sharing a giggle with Nana. :)
One of my favorite things about this trip was watching Quinn and June interact. She was fascinated with my little bundle of energy. These photos were taken late at night (around 10 or 11pm). Quinn was just running all over the bedroom literally bouncing off the walls. She watched his every move. Quinn seemed quite amused at her attention and stopped occasionally to try to make her laugh. He's not always been so enamored with babies, so the positive attention he bestowed upon June was a pleasant change.
Here's that smile I was talking about. Isn't she just the cutest thing??!!
Sunday morning we awoke to a beautiful blue sky, which was a surprise since the initial forecast had been rain/storms for Fri-Sun. This was the view from our hotel right around sunrise.
We got in a good bit of beach time. Cousin Jeanie joined us for the outing.
Quinn was fearless in the water - even though the waves were strong enough to knock him off his feet on several occasions. Baby June got her first (?) taste of the Atlantic and seemed to enjoy it once she got used to the sensation.
Quinn and Uncle Andy had some QT at the beach. They enjoyed sitting at the edge of the water and letting the waves roll in and knock them backwards.
The wedding was at a nearby yacht club and the weather was beautiful (and hot). Didn't get any photos of the bride and groom, because we couldn't actually see them from where we were sitting.
Also on this trip we had the opportunity to finally meet some of my cousins' wives/husbands/kids. Below is a photo of my cousin Matt (who doesn't always wear his baby's headband :)) with his sweet baby girl Mia. We also met his wife, Lisa for the first time. His brother, Scott, also has a new baby, Savannah, who is equally adorable, and we finally met his wife, Emy. We also met Rachel's husband, Stephen and Joseph's wife, Martina and their little boy, Eli. It was good to reconnect with everyone.
In addition to the beach, we also got in a little bit of pool time. June got to show off her cool swimming contraption that she received from a friend in Japan. She seemed to love it!
And our parting shots of the glamourous beach beauty and the studly surf boy.
