Child Abuse?

Throwing blocks at baby's head: fun game or child abuse?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Quinn and mama both got a touch of a cold for Thanksgiving this year, which put a damper on our plans to have dinner with Allison, Matt, Eli, family and friends (we didn't want to get little Eli sick). So instead we had a great dinner at home (Thanks Jeff!).

Here we are at the dinner table for our first Thanksgiving dinner as a family.

Much to Quinny's delight Nana and Ervin came for a visit on their "way home" from South Carolina (You figure out how Beaufort, NC is on the way home to GA from SC).

Here is Q working on walking with Ervin (don't notice the big wet spot on his shorts - we sure didn't).

Quinn was happy to see his Nana

The weather this weekend has been beautiful so we took a walk downtown. This is a newish produce stand on the way.

Sleep? Who needs it?

We've really hit a rough patch the past few days. Quinn has decided that sleep is for sissies. He's been waking up every hour or so (screaming) from the time he goes to bed until about 3am, at which point we cave and bring him to bed with us. We're assuming that it's teething, but there are still no signs of his pearly whites, so who knows. We have an appointment with the doc tomorrow to rule out an ear infection.

Poor boy has been a bit of a zombie the past few days, as even his naps have taken a hit. These photos are from yesterday evening as we were getting ready to head out for a walk. Cute sleepy kid. Well tonight he's sleeping like a champ so far (knocking on wood now).

Shoulder ride at Patsy Pond

What fun we had walking at Patsy Pond yesterday. Quinn loved being up high.

November

I've been behind on my photos...here are a smattering of photos taken this month. Quinn is now 6 months old! His most recent stats: 18 pounds 1.75 ounces, 27.25 inches. He can now stay in a seated position and use both of his hands.

I walked in from work the other day to find this scene: Quinn sitting in the bumbo seat on the kitchen floor wearing a wool sweater and just a diaper. He had pulled the tray off the seat and was trying to eat it. Where oh where was his father?

We picked this hat up at the Cat Yard Sale yesterday. Jeff thinks it makes him look with a mushroom or a melon head...you be the judge. I think it's pretty cute!

He's finally got it!

Week without Dad

Jeff has been in San Diego all week working and trying to scope out the housing situation there. This means that Quinn and I have been home alone ALL week. Wow. I have new respect for all the single parents out there! I'm not sure how they do it! I know Jeff is missing the little guy, so we had a little photo shoot the other day. We're both looking forward to Sunday!
