Introducing Andrew Quinn Moore

DAY 1. BIRTHDAY. May 9, 2009. Time of birth: 2039

Quinn, just a few minutes old...not knowing what the hell has just happened to him, and not too thrilled with it.

Weighs 7 lb 5 oz.

Dad thinks Quinn is pretty cool.

So does mom.

One hot new mother (and a cute kid).

Grandma Houston is pretty proud of Alex and Quinn.

Quinn thinks mom's boob is cool (just like his daddy).

Happy but tired new parents.

DAY 2. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

Dad successfully changes first diaper ever and prepares to swaddle Quinn.

Jeff, Quinn, and Diane.

38 1/2 Weeks

Almost done! A Week and a half to go....

Dogwoods, Gardening and Strawberries

It's another beautiful weekend in NC. Jeff has gotten really excited about gardening this year and has quite the food plot going. He currently has cabbage, spinach, arugula, turnips, carrots, tomatoes, zucchini, basil, and cilantro growing. We've been enjoying arugula and spinach salads almost every night, but are still waiting for everything else to be ready. This afternoon we decided to visit the local farmer for an afternoon of strawberry pickin'. Mmmm strawberry shortcake for dinner tonight!

Crabs and Scallops

Last weekend we were invited to a 65th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful celebration. The party was at the Hoopers' home down east. Mark is a fisherman and gave us a tour of his soft crab and scallop operation. My camera got to come out and play for the first time in quite a while.

New Toy!

I got a new computer this week. I thought it was time to give Apple a try, so got an iMac. I just discovered the webcam and have been having a fun time taking ridiculous photos of myself. I'm sure there's something else I should be doing, but this is way more fun!

Pregnancy pop art style

Just over a month to go...

These are really scary!

Family visit

Unfortunately the weather was pretty awful while they were here, but we managed to squeeze in one quick hike at Patsy Pond with Merlin and his pal North.

Bebe Fiesta!

Andy, Colleen, Mom and Dad made the trip to Beaufort during Andy's spring break to throw a little fiesta in honor of little Kelp/Quinn. We had an incredible time. It was Colleen who made it all happen!

We were up late the night before making tamales!

Mom and Colleen making some decorations

Dad and Andy worked hard too...

The food was delicious!

Mexican cupcakes with a little kick

Fish frying for the fish tacos

Chubby getting her grub

We even had a cute owl pinata!

Andy and Dad hard at work again. :)

Thanks to my wonderful family for putting this party together and thanks to all of our great buds who came and helped us celebrate!
